Although Holbox is a very small island, it is surrounded by nature and different ecosystems. You can find Cenotes, Caves, Whale Sharks, other islands. So tours are not scarce. Take a look at some of the tours you can find in Holbox.

The main activities in Holbox are just enjoying the landscape by the beach. There are many beach bars and places just to lay or swim without the need to purchase anything. Honestly, this is the only activity I would recommend on this Island. However, here are some other ideas you can take from my previous local experience.

Besides the Carnival and some random parties on the island, there is not much to do. But we should keep it like this. I will always remind you that Holbox is one of the most sensitive ecosystems that we have in Mexico, and we should be conscious of it. Holbox locals have been fighting for years to prevent the invasion of massive tourism, the reason why this island keeps its charm. So it’s our turn to show respect.
